Ill Team Six is Klazik’s signature brand and a creative play on the name Seal Team Six, paying tribute to his time serving in the United States Navy. During his years in Virginia Beach, Klazik became heavily involved in the local music scene, performing with rap groups and developing a close musical relationship in nearby Norfolk with fellow artist T-Rifik. ACHH, which stands for Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop, was created to define a style of hip-hop that moves away from destructive themes while remaining current, relevant, and appealing to a more mature audience. The genre was officially introduced and solidified during SXSW at the Making It Magazine Compound, where the birth of Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop was livestreamed. As the face and voice of ACHH, Klazik continues to champion the movement and was honored as the inaugural recipient of the Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop Award at the 2024 Iowa Music Awards before passing the recognition to the following year’s recipient, Rahlan Kay. Just Be Dope, another extension of Klazik’s brand, began as the name of the stage he sponsored at Iowa Summer Jam and is now evolving into a larger platform focused on expanding content, building collaborations, and creating new opportunities for artists across the country.
DOMINOS – ALBUM
DOMINOS marks Klazik’s first major album release and serves as a defining moment in his 30-year musical journey. Built around the idea that every action creates a reaction, the album explores the relationships, decisions, struggles, and victories that shape our lives. Featuring collaborations with artists from across Iowa and throughout the country, DOMINOS blends the signature sound of Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop with authentic storytelling and meaningful lyricism. The project is led by the internet radio charting singles “Get To You,” featuring DJ Luke Nasty and Tone Da Boss, and “Ovation.” One of the album’s most notable collaborations features nationally recognized lyricist Mickey Factz, while the deeply personal track “Book of Jonah” has become a fan favorite for its honest reflection and powerful storytelling. More than an album, DOMINOS represents the culmination of three decades of dedication to music and solidifies Klazik’s position as one of the Midwest’s most respected independent artists.
